Who are we?
The feed mill in Canboro produces all general farm feeds and as the changing times dictate, Minor Bros. also manufactures many specialty and custom rations. Our feed is made mainly from local grains and by-products. Qualified sales staff use these ingredients and the customer's forage tests to balance each ration individually to ensure a ration specific to the customer's operation. Not only are the ingredient levels flexible, but there are also many options as to the composition of the ration: textured, steam flaked or pelleted. Minor Bros. has a steam flaking system that is unique to the area. This process adds steam to the grain to increase moisture; the grain is then rolled through a crimping machine to make a consistent quality product. This process has resulted in excellent quality dairy, calf, heifer and horse rations. The Canboro plant consists of 2 pellet mills which can produce up to 10 tonnes of pelleted feed an hour. We have over 2000 tonnes of grain storage and 37 soft ingredient bins holding over 400 tonnes of product. With these excellent manufacturing facilities on site, Minor Bros. is able to offer superior products and services in a cost effective manner.
